Police: Man Rides Hood In Mass Pike Road Rage Incident

WESTON, MA (WBZ-AM) — State Police say two men have been charged after a bizarre road rage incident that included one of them riding on the hood of a moving SUV on the Mass Pike on Friday.

Police say that both men were initially involved in a minor sideswipe crash on the Pike in Weston when a verbal altercation occurred.

One of the men, Richard Kamrowski, 67 of Framingham, MA, got out of his car and held onto the hood of a white SUV as the driver, Mark P. Fitzgerald, 37 of Lynn, MA, drove down the Mass Pike.

Witnesses say that the SUV could be seen driving down the highway with Kamrowski in front.

Fitzgerald "ultimately came to a stop, we believe with the intervention of some good Samaritans," Police said in a news release to WBZ NewsRadio.

Fitzgerald was charged with assault, with a dangerous weapon, negligent operation and leaving the scene of property damage. They also charged Kamrowski with disorderly conduct.

It was not immediately known if there were any injuries during the incident or when the two will appear in court for those charges.
