Salmonella In Baby Spinach Concerns Prompt Voluntary Recall By Whole Foods

BOSTON, MA (WBZ-AM) —  Whole Foods says it's voluntarily recalling several prepared items that contain baby spinach.

The company says it's doing this due to salmonella concerns.

Products affected include salads -- pizza -- sandwiches -- and wraps -- all including spinach from Satur Farms.

More Info From U.S. Food & Drug Administration

The products were sold in Connecticut, Maine,  Massachusetts, New Hampshire and  Rhode Island -- among other states.

If you bought these prepared items -- hot or cold -- before and up to the 23-rd of this month -- you're asked to throw them out.
