BOSTON (WBZ-AM) — The day after the longest government shutdown in United States history ended, Congresswoman Ayanna Pressley met with non-essential federal workers in Boston.
Pressley is co-sponsoring a bill that would require back pay for all the contract workers affected by the government shutdown.
Pressley said federal workers paid the price for the shutdown.
“When I say this was a manufactured crisis, I want to underscore the first three letters of that word,” Pressley said. “One man created this much hurt.”
