CHELSEA, MA (WBZ-AM) — A 60-year old woman in an electric wheelchair was hit by a car Monday morning in Chelsea, police say.
According to Chelsea Police Chief Brian Keys, the crash happened around 8 a.m. on Boatswains way.
He says that a woman was traveling the wrong way and that the driver of the car, a man who was not identified, didn't see her because of sun glare. He stayed on the scene
The woman in the wheelchair suffered head injuries but was conscious and alert. Police say she was transported to Mass General Hospital in Boston for evaluation.
