RAYMOND, NH (WBZ NewsRadio) — A box truck westbound on Route 101 near exit 4 in Raymond had neglected to clear ice from its roof allowing a large chunk of it to dislodge on the highway hitting a vehicle approximately 5 cars behind.
The ice went through the windshield, smashing the driver in the head, causing him severe lacerations and possible serious injuries. He was taken from the scene by ambulance to a local hospital. The truck did not stop.
Clearing the roof of your vehicle is a state law. Anyone who may have witnessed this is asked to contact State Police Troop A at (603) 679-3333.
