Firefighters Respond To Six-Alarm Fire At Roxbury Church

ROXBURY (WBZ NewsRadio) — Firefighters responded to a six-alarm fire at a church in Roxbury early Saturday morning.

The fire at Holy Mt. Zion Church on Harold Street started around 4:30 a.m. The Boston Fire Department reported a partial roof collapse.

Conditions were challenging for firefighters due to frigid temperatures and reduced visibility. The fire left buildings, streets, and trees coated with ice.

One firefighter was reported to have suffered a leg injury

Deliverance Temple holds services at the church every Sunday.
