NEWTON, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) — An elderly woman was rescued, a second person is unaccounted for after an early Saturday morning fire at home on Oxford Road in Newton.
Fire crews say hoarding conditions inside the home have made the fire difficult to extinguishhoarding conditions inside the home made it difficult to exstinguish and led to the injury of one firefighter. That firefighter is being treated for minor injuries at the hospital.
The state fire marshal’s office is on scene, as well as the state medical examiner.
