WILMINGTON, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) — A rollover car crash is causing major headaches for commuters on I-93 in Wilmington.
According to authorities, the crash when a pickup truck struck the guardrail on the right side the road on I-93 Southbound, south of exit 41, around 5:25 a.m. Monday
The crash prompted heavy emergency response. Two people were seriously injured. A medical helicopter was brought in forcing the closure of the north and southbound of the highway
One person was taken to Boston my medical helicopter and another to Lahey Hospital in Burlington.
While the crash scene has been cleared, commuters driving southbound on I-93 can expect major backups starting after the ramp from MA-213 West.
