Woman Injured When After Bricks Fall From South End Building

BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — City building officials are investigating after a woman hit by bricks that fell from a facade of a residential building in Boston's South End.

Boston Police say that the woman, who was not identified, suffered minor back injuries after being hit by the bricks around 8:20 p.m Wednesday night.

She was brought to Boston Medical Center which is located nearby.

Approximately a dozen to 15 red bricks as well as bits of mortar became loose from a second-floor window.

Police blocked off the sidewalk and residents were allowed to stay in the building.
