ARLINGTON, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) — A bear spotted in Arlington was tranquilized and captured by authorities Friday.
The bear was initially spotted around 6:30 a.m near the Winchester Country Club.
It spent a few hours up resting high up on a tree branch behind a home on Pawnee Drive when officials decided to tranquilize the bear.
Once it the bear was tranquilized — it continued to climb further up the tree until it came down on it's own.
Authorities say that state wildlife officials will relocate the bear along Intestate 495.
Coincidentally the bear was not far from the home of Boston Bruins Head Coach Bruce Cassidy.
