BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — A derailed train on the MBTA Red Line caused havoc for commuters Tuesday.
The train derailed at the Ashmont yard shortly after 5:30 a.m. forcing MBTA officials shuttle buses are replacing T service in both directions between Ashmont and JFK/UMass.
Service on the Mattapan High Speed Line was unaffected.
Shortly before 8:00 a.m. the MBTA said the train was "re-railed."
