BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — A man who was pulled from Boston's Muddy River near Kenmore Square Wednesday morning is dead.
Boston Fire were called to the scene near Charlesgate and Commonwealth Ave after hearing of a person in the water shortly after 6:09 a.m.
Four divers in survival suits found the man and rushed him to Brigham and Women's Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
It's not clear how long his body was there before it was recovered but officials on the scene said that the man was under the water for a while and describe the water conditions as frigid.
Police said the investigation is on-going and that at this point there's no evidence of any assault or foul play.
No additional info was released.
The river which originates in the Fens area of the city feeds into the Charles River and cuts through Commonwealth Avenue and the Back Bay neighborhood.
