BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — It was far from a smooth rescue in Arizona.
A 75-year-old hiker had to be rescued by helicopter -- after hurting herself during a fall.
As rescuers tried to pull her into the chopper -- the stretcher started spinning in the air out of control.
The woman was treated for dizziness and nausea but suffered no other ill effects. The stretcher spun faster than the helicopter's rotor blades.
The crew said a second line meant to prevent the spinning, broke.
Overall - the woman is in stable condition.
