Tractor-Trailer Crash Shuts Down I-93 In New Hampshire

SANBORNTON, New Hampshire (WBZ NewsRadio) — Authorities in New Hampshire are asking drivers travelling through Interstate 93 North towards the Lakes Region to avoid the area after a tractor-trailer crash.

According to New Hampshire State Police, the crash happened around 11:30 a.m. Wednesday in Sanbornton on what is considered the busiest travel day before the Fourth of July weekend.

NH Department of Transportation and State Police diverted traffic at Exit 22 while fire crews worked to extinguish the flames and clear the crash.

Both sides of the Interstate was closed for hours. It was not immediately clear if there were any injuries.

State Police said the left lane on the northbound side of the road was re-opened shortly before 2 p.m.
