QUINCY, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) — Older Asian women are apparently being targeted by a jewelry thief on the streets of Quincy.
Police say at least three times this month, victims were approached by a woman who attempted to place a gold necklace around their necks. Each time, when the woman left, the victims discovered the jewelry they had already been wearing was gone.
The alleged slight-of-hand thief apparently was seen getting out of a dark gray or black SUV.
Police are looking for a heavy-set woman between the ages of 30 and 50 years old. She is described as white or Hispanic with shoulder-length hair. The driver of the SUV is described as a Hispanic man, medium build with short dark hair.
Anyone with information is asked to contact Quincy Police at 617-479-1212.
