ABINGTON, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) — The state Office of the Chief Medical Examiner has ruled the shooting deaths of a family of five in Abington has been ruled a murder-suicide, according to press release from the Plymouth County District Attorney's Office.
The family of two parents and three children was found dead Monday morning. They have been identified as the Zaccardi family—parents Deirdre and Joseph, 11-year-old Alexis, and 9-year-old twins, Nathaniel and Kathryn.
Authorities said that the father, Joseph, shot his family members to death before taking his own life.
This case is still under investigation.
