Nightside with Dan Rea - Rundown for October 10, 2019

Suffolk County Sheriff Steve Tompkins Drops By.... Suffolk County Sheriff Steve Tompkins says he made the decision to terminate the county contract with I.C.E. earlier this week to make room for roughly 200 to 250 incarcerated women and rehabilitative programming. He says the change is about saving lives and is not political. I.C.E. Boston says they are very disappointed. Have any questions for the Sheriff?

The Kurds and Normandy. President Trump made an odd statement this week in defense of his decision to pull American support from allied Kurdish fighters in northern Syria, leaving them vulnerable to a Turkish offensive. The President said"they didn’t help us in the Second World War. They didn’t help us with Normandy."Kurds are a stateless group of people and not a monolith. While it may be true that there were no Kurds at the invasion of Normandy, did the President's statement make any sense to you?

Congressman Joe Kennedy III is in the House. He has given up a perfectly safe seat in Congress to challenge incumbent Sen. Edward Markey and is in studio with Dan to explain his decision and answer your questions.
