The Batman has found its Catwoman in actress Zoe Kravitz.

The star of Big Little Lies has been tapped to portray Selina Kyle (a.k.a. The Cat) in Matt Reeves’ upcoming Batman reboot, Warner Bros. confirmed on Monday (October 14). Surprisingly enough, this isn’t the first time Kravitz, who has starred in the studio’s previous blockbuster like Mad Max: Fury Road and Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald, has took on the feline-inspired figure. Two years ago, the Lolawolf musician voiced the character in The Lego Batman Movie. (Kravitz is also familiar with the superhero scene, having starred in 2011’s X-Men: First Class as Tempest.)

Although Kravitz has yet to share the news on any of her social media pages, one person who's immensely happy for her new role is stepfather Jason Momoa. "I'm so proud of u zozo bear," he wrote of the casting news on Instagram. "On and off screen OHANA. DC WB ohana Lola and Wolfies big sister is CAT WOMAN😍😍😍 Unbelievable so freaking stoked. Your going to have so much fun Aloha P bear."

As those following the Batman franchise know, the upcoming installation will include Twilight alum Robert Pattinson as the Caped Crusader after Ben Affleck’s longtime role as the Dark Knight in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, Justice League, and Suicide Squad. Pattinson and Kravitz are the only cast members confirmed for the upcoming action film. However, Jonah Hill and Jeffrey Wright are supposedly in talks to appear as well — the former of which could possibly take on Riddler or Penguin, and the latter Commissioner Gordon.

The Batman will open in theaters on June 25, 2021.
