BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — A picture of a baby rocking a New England Patriots helmet is getting a lot of attention online.
Sarah Poirier’s son, Everett, needs to wear a cranial helmet to correct a flat spot on his head.
She said that the helmets “aren’t that cool looking,” and got the idea to get creative with it from a Facebook group for parents in a similar situation.
Poirier then posted a picture of her son wearing it to a Patriots fan group on Facebook, and said the response has been overwhelming. The post has more than 5,000 likes.
According to Poirier, this has been a great chance for her to show her love for her son, her team, and spread awareness.
“I think people are a little hesitant if they see a baby in a helmet and they’re not quite sure if they should say something,” Poirier said. “But, this has made people smile. Everybody comments on it about how awesome it is.”
