BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — Sen. Ed Markey spoke out about impeachment at a Thanksgiving event at the Pine Street Inn on Thursday.
Markey told WBZ NewsRadio that “if the impeachment document coming over the Senate includes the findings and the recommendations which have been made thus far, then I’m prepared to go to remove Donald Trump as the president of the United States.”
Sen. Markey formally called for President Trump’s impeachment over the summer after Special Counsel Robert Mueller testified in front of Congress about the Russia probe.
The senator did this on the same day as President Trump’s call with the leader of Ukraine on July 25. It is that call that has become the subject of the impeachment inquiry into the president.
