Nightside with Dan Rea - Rundown for December 9, 2019

Beware Boston Curb Hogs, The Hub Is Getting New Rules! A number of U.S. cities including Boston are planning to test new curbside parking and pull-over restrictions to reduce road congestion. This means you Uber, Lyft, UPS and Grub Hub! Ride share vehicles and food-delivery services have been crowding into downtown streets making already epic traffic jams even worse. The first tests will only effect one or two city blocks for around a month but, say city officials, the test could lead to long-term changes. Is this a good idea?

The IG Report On The Collusion Investigation Is Out! The highly anticipated report from Justice Department Inspector General Michael Horowitz on the federal investigation of potential collusion between the Trump campaign and Russia is out! The report found no direct evidence of political bias in the launching of the probe but does contain withering criticism of the FBI for “basic, fundamental and serious errors” handling of surveillance applications. Was President Trump right about corruption in the agency?

And The Winner is Hillary... A new Harvard-Harris poll of likely democratic voters finds Hillary Clinton is the top choice of her party for the 2020 nomination even though she is not running for president - yet. Mrs. Clinton drew 21%,followed by former Vice President Joseph R. Biden with 20%, Vermont Sen. Bernard Sanders at 12%, Massachusetts Sen. Elizabeth Warren at 9% and ex-New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg at 7%. Is it time for Hillary to return?
