Missing Elderly Hanover Man With Dementia Found Dead

HANOVER, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) — An elderly man with dementia, who had gone missing, was found dead on New Years Day in Hanover.

The Plymouth County District Attorney’s Office says that he was found around 10 a.m. after authorities had been searching for Robert Alexander, 85, overnight.

Authorities do not believe his death to be suspicious.

In a tweet, the Hanover Police Department thanked residents “who took notice of the missing person information,” and offered their condolences to the man’s family.

The death remains under investigation.
