Is the Transportation and Climate Initiative a Bust? TCI, a 12-state climate compact backed by Massachusetts Gov. Charlie Baker to lower greenhouse gas emissions by putting a fee on gasoline has suffered a major setback with both the governors of Connecticut and Vermont saying they are not in favor of a “gas tax” that punishes drivers. New Hampshire's governor has already said no to the proposal. Supporters say it’s necessary to help stomp climate change while critics say it is taxation without representation. Is it time to walk away from the Transportation and Climate Initiative in Massachusetts?

Harvard Law Students Poo Poo Clerkships with Conservative Judges. Harvard Law School is having trouble convincing its liberal student body that a clerkship is a good thing even if it is with one of President Trump’s newly appointed judges. The school's administration, distressed by what they call“wasted opportunities” went so far as to try and offer further inducements to take the coveted positions by offering further incentives like “Next to Lake Tahoe and great skiing!” What would you like to say to those students who refuse to even discuss legal issues with judges if they are conservative?

The Democrat Contenders One Month Out From the NH Primary..... The military action against Iran is now front and center for the 2020 presidential candidates. In Iowa former Vice-President Biden was taking shots about his track record on terrorism - he had counseled President Obama against the 2011 Navy SEAL raid on Osama bin Laden’s hideout - while Sen. Liz Warren was confronted by a protester in Dover, NH who accuse her of being in league with terrorists because of her condemnation of President Trump's actions to remove an Iranian General plotting attacks on U.S. embassies. Are the tensions with Iran good or bad for democrats?
