Ashland Firefighters Rescue Deer Stuck In The Ice

ASHLAND, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) — Early Sunday morning the Ashland Fire Department received a distress call about a deer that was stuck in the frozen Ashland Reservoir. Crews sprung into action and deployed an ice rescue sled to assist the deer.

The department kept the community updated through their Facebook page.

Once first responders reached the deer, they went to work trying to pull it out of the icy water.

Eventually, the deer ran off into the woods after being rescued from the water.
