UXBRIDGE, Mass (WBZ NewsRadio) — Rapper Snoop Dogg made a special appearance this week at a recreational marijuana store in Uxbridge, Mass.
The DoggFather stopped by Caroline's Cannabis on Tuesday afternoon, following his Monday night performance at the Boston House of Blues. A few hours before he showed up, Caroline's Cannabis made the surprise announcement on social media.
Caroline Frankel, owner and CEO of the family-run business, greeted Snoop outside her store late Tuesday afternoon. Some 250 fans crowded in the parking lot to try and snap a photo of the rapper. Snoop held a quick meet and greet to shake fans' hands after they had waited outside in sub-freezing temperatures.
According to Frankel, the connection with Snoop was made through one of her regular customers. Frankel said she was "flattered" that such a prominent name in the cannabis world would choose to stop by her store.
Although the meet and greet event was only scheduled for one hour, Snoop took the party late into the evening, spinning some tunes as DJ Snoopadellic.
Hundreds of fans danced in the parking lot as the sun set. "Caroline like to party all the time," Snoop said over the mic, "It's my kind of spot."
