PROVINCETOWN, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) — Three years after recreational legalization passed in Massachusetts, adults on the Cape are finally getting local access to a recreational marijuana shop.
The company Curaleaf got the go-ahead from state and local officials two weeks ago. News of the store's opening comes a day after Curaleaf's CFO announced it had secured $300 million in capital, making it one of the largest cannabis companies in the U.S.
Curaleaf's recreational dispensary, located at 170 Commercial Street in Provincetown, will have a 'soft opening' on Wednesday Janurary 29 at 12 p.m.
Business hours will run 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. during summer, but it will have limited hours during the off-season, opening 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Mondays through Saturdays, and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sundays.
