Sick Passenger Released After Being Screened For Coronavirus At Logan

BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — A sick passenger from Beijing, China was screened for hours at Boston Logan International Airport on Wednesday for the coronavirus. They were released after not reaching criteria for the virus.

The passenger declined to be taken to a hospital.

WBZ-TV reports the passenger was traveling on Hainan Airlines when they landed in Boston.

This comes right after it was announced screenings for the coronavirus would be taking place at Logan Airport. Flights from China are still coming into the airport at this time.

The virus has created a health scare worldwide. More than 170 people have died in China, according to the New York Times.
