BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — Armed officers in England have fatally shot a man suspected of a terror-related incident on a busy main street in South London.
It happened around 9 a.m. GMT (2 p.m. EST) in the town of Streatham.
According to London's Metropolitan Police, three people were injured in the stabbing attack, and the Department is awaiting an update on their condition.
The incident has officially been declared as terror-related.
In response to footage on social media showing armed officers approaching someone laying on the ground, local police are urging people to "restrain circulating pictures and videos of the incident, including images of the officers involved."
Police do not believe there were any other suspects, and they report the scene has been fully contained.
