SWAMPSCOTT, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) — The annual International Food Fair was held at the First Church in Swampscott on Saturday. The event raised money for Habitat for Humanity.
For more than 30 years, area churches have pooled their collective culinary talents for the fair. It includes dishes from places like Korea, Nepal, and Guatemala.

“For many, many years, Habitat North Shore has worked in projects in Lynn, and in Peabody, and in Danvers to house people that otherwise wouldn’t have an opportunity to be housed,” Sharon Thomas, who chairs the fair’s committee, said.
Thomas said that community support has been strong for the event.
“We are amazing every year that people show up. They come, they eat, they bid,” Thomas said. “Quite frankly, this is the first year that I’ve seen things sold out. So, we’re just overjoyed and thrilled that people have shown up to support this.”
An auction was also held at the event.
