Brockton Man Shot And Killed In The Stairwell Of His Home

BROCKTON Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) — A man from Brockton has died after being shot inside a home on Saturday night.

According to the Plymouth District Attorney's office, 22-year old Alison Barbosa was brought to Good Samaritan Hospital around 8:45 p.m. Saturday after police found suffering from a gunshot wound in the stairwell of a home on Belmont Avenue.

They office is now investigating it as a "fatal shooting."

ShotSpotter, a technology that uses sensors to detect and convey the location of gunfire, alerted authorities that shots had been fired in the area.

Investigators were seen around the front yard and driveway of the home where Barbosa was found. More than 15 visible evidence markers were dotted in the roadway by Saturday night, and there were bullet holes visible in the front door and outside walls.

So far there have been no arrests made.
