New Hampshire Police Are Still Searching For A Suspected Shooter

HENNIKER, N.H. (WBZ NewsRadio) — Authorities are still searching for a suspected shooter after three people were injured in downtown Henniker early Sunday morning.

Henniker police responded to reports of a shooting on Bridge Street around 2:50 a.m., across the bridge from New England College's main campus. The shooting happened at an off-campus party in an apartment above a grocery store and pharmacy.

First responders found three victims; two New England College students, and one former student. All three have since been treated and released.

Officers evacuated the area and started a sweeping search for the suspect. New England College students were sent an alert at 3:30 a.m. about a person with a gun in Colby Hall.

A second alert was sent out around 5 a.m. saying there had been an off-campus shooting and that students should continue to shelter in place.

The college was put on lock down and students were told to remain in their rooms as police searched residence halls.

So far no arrests have been made.
