Race officials would not comment on when or how they might come to a final decision over what to do, but they said there are no current plans to cancel the race.

According to the Boston Globe, about one-third of the 31,000 registered runners are coming from outside the U.S.

Amid coronavirus concerns, the Trump Administration has imposed travel restrictions on those coming to the U.S. from Iran and China.

Boston Marathon is still scheduled for Monday, April 20.
