Celtics, Bruins Conscious Of Coronavirus Outbreak

BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — Boston sports teams are taking precautions in the wake of the coronavirus outbreak.

Celtics coach Brad Stevens brought in a doctor to help educate the team, saying they’re treating it the same way they would the flu.

The NBA has recommended that players fist bump fans instead of giving high fives, and to avoid taking objects to autograph so as to not spread any germs.

Outside of Boston, Blazers star CJ McCollum tweeted that he is “taking a break from signing autographs until further notice.”

Celtics point guard Kemba Walker, however, said that everyone needs to be cautious, but he will still be giving out autographs.

Bruins forward Sean Kuraly said that he believes fans will understand, and that it is better to be remain healthy for the game.
