Transportation Bill Passes First Hurdle! The Massachusetts House of Representatives passed a package of fee and tax hikes late last night that would raise an estimated $600 million in revenue for the MBTA and transportation infrastructure but at the same time would make it more expensive for motorists. As it currently reads, the bill would raise the state’s gas tax 5 cents, to 29 cents per gallon, and hike fees on ride-hailing companies $1 per ride. Do you support the bill?

Warren Bows Out. Massachusetts Senator Elizabeth Warren bowed out of the 2020 presidential race this afternoon saying she was suspending her campaign with a deep sense of gratitude for everyone who just moved a little on their notion of what a president of the United States should look like. Was Warren discriminated against by voters because she is a woman or because she was just a bad candidate?

Schumer Goes Too Far With Supreme Court. Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) claims he was carried away with passion over the abortion issue and did not threaten two Supreme Court Justices when he publicly called them out. He specifically said: "You have released a whirlwind and you will pay the price. You won't know what hit you if you go forward with these awful decisions". Does that sound like a threat to you?
