Methuen Firefighters Rescue Residents And Two Cats From A House Fire

METHUEN, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) — Methuen Firefighters safely evacuated everyone from a house that went up in flames on Sunday morning, including two cats.

First responders arrived at the two-story single-home on Howe Street just before 10 a.m.

Shortly after, Assistant Fire Chief Bill Barry emerged holding Creamsicle, the family's tabby and white cat.

A few minutes later, the Methuen Police Chief Solomon posted a video showing Firefighter Cole rescuing the family's second cat, Liquorish.

Methuen Police said the residents of the home were all safely evacuated.

Red Cross Massachusetts tweeted that it had a team responding to assist those displaced by the fire.
