BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — Several schools in Massachusetts are closed Monday because of concerns of the coronavirus.
While some schools are being cleaned, one Arlington elementary school is closed because a student is showing symptoms of the virus.
That student is from Stratton Elementary School. One of their parents tested positive in a presumptive case of the virus. That parent recently went to a Biogen conference in Boston that’s been linked to several other presumptive cases.
Students are now being told to stay home until tests results come back. The school will be disinfected while re-evaluate the situation Monday.
Meanwhile in Plainville, the superintendent announced Anna Ware Jackson Elementary School and Beatrice H. Wood Elementary School are closed Monday as the buildings are disinfected. This comes after a parent was tested from the coronavirus. Those test results are still pending.
