LOWELL, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) — A free drive-thru coronavirus testing site opened in Lowell Tuesday morning.
It has been set up in the parking lot of the Showcase Cinema de Lux Lowell at 32 Reiss Ave.
The site uses newly approved rapid testing, developed by Abbott, that provides results in about 15 minutes. This is the first testing site like this in Massachusetts.
The city of Lowell, the state, and CVS Health worked together to bring the site to the area. Anyone looking to get tested must pre-register on the CVS Health website.
