Grocery Store Workers To Protest Over Lack Of Protective Equipment

BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — A group of grocery store employees are protesting in Boston to demand more protective equipment and adequate pay.

WBZ-TV reports workers from Trader Joe's, Whole Foods, Stop & Shop, and Shaw's are expected to participate in the protest.

The protest was scheduled for 11 a.m., with workers protesting outside of a Whole Foods in Boston's South End, according to NBC 10. The Whole Foods is on Harrison Avenue.

The employees are set to protest while social distancing — standing six feet apart.
