Essex County Sheriff Kevin Coppinger On COVID Criminal Releases. Law enforcement officials across three Massachusetts counties are trying to block the release of Ray Wallace, who is accused of grabbing a gun and shooting a Middlesex deputy sheriff while escaping custody while in the hospital. Among those fighting the release of Wallace is Essex County Sheriff Kevin Coppinger who joins Dan to discuss the public safety issues raised by the recent spat of compassionate COVID-19 prisoner releases.

Shooting Back in the Persian Gulf. President Trump tweeted today he has ordered the Navy to “shoot down and destroy” any Iranian gunboats that harass U.S. ships. This directive comes a week after the Navy reported a group of Iranian boats made “dangerous and harassing approaches” to American vessels in the Persian Gulf. Is the President's order reasonable or is it foolhardy?

Harvard Opts Out of Stimulus Money. After being publicly called out on by President Trump to pay back their Coronavirus relief money, Harvard University made the announcement today that they will indeed return the money. Harvard has one of the biggest endowments in the country, but do they deserve stimulus relief money the same as some other college institutions?
