CAMBRIDGE, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) — The City of Cambridge has begun it's initiative to expand information on how to keep healthy during the pandemic with sound trucks.
The City of Cambridge will deploy Department of Public Works sound trucks Wednesday to broadcast important COVID-19 prevention messages.
The sound playing from the trucks includes reminders about the state’s stay-at-home advisory and to wear a mask or face cover outside, and to continue social distancing.
The first round of trucks was sent to areas where there have been reported issues with social distancing and heavier pedestrian traffic. Trucks are expected to start in the afternoon and run until 6 p.m.
The messages will be broadcast in different languages.
