ESSEX, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) — A popular seafood restaurant in Essex is severely damaged following a fire Sunday night.
WBZ-TV reports the fire started at Essex Seafood Company on Eastern Avenue around 11 p.m. It apparently began in the restaurant's kitchen.
The fire has been since put out, but the restaurant saw hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of damages. No one was injured.
According to the restaurant's Facebook page, they had been open earlier that day for take out in celebration of Mother's Day.
