Boston Police Get Lunch Delivered By A Bruins Legend

BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — According to Boston Police Department, a restaurant owned by a former Bruins legend provided some top quality Italian food for officers working during the pandemic.

On Saturday, BPD sent a special thanks to Ray Borque, who played 21 seasons with the Boston Bruins, for personally delivering meals to the officers in Charlestown and Downtown Boston.

BPD said Borque "just wanted to say thank you to the officers for keeping everybody safe and he thought delivering meals from his restaurant, Tresca... was a small but perfect way to show his appreciation."

In their message, entitled "thank you for thanking us," BPS said “Everybody knows Ray Bourque is one the greatest players in the history of the NHL. But, they should also know, especially after what he did for us today, that he’s also one of the nicest.”
