2 Violent Incidents In Boston Overnight Leave 1 Dead, 6 Injured

BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — Two separate incidents overnight in Boston have left one person dead and six people injured.

Just before midnight, five men were shot, and one fatally, at a residential complex on Ames Street near Blue Hill Avenue.

The crime scene has been cleared but friends of the victims sat in chairs where he was killed. Candles were set up as they drank a few beers.

“It’s unfortunate that another person lost their life this time. We vow to work with the district attorney in our community to stop these acts of senseless violence,” Boston Police Commissioner William Gross told WBZ-TV.

This shooting take place around the same time of another incident on Massachusetts Avenue, where one person was shot and another stabbed.

The victims took themselves to the hospital. Police are not sure if both incidents are related.
