Peaceful Protest To Be Held On Boston Common Wednesday

BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — A protest is set to be held on Boston Common Wednesday afternoon to demand justice for George Floyd and to call for an end to police brutality.

The demonstration will begin at 3:30 p.m. It is described as being a "peaceful" protest.

On the protest's Facebook event page, organizers wrote "Massachusetts needs to let America know we do not stand for racism! We need to show support for our fellow Americans and honor human life. POTUS needs to know that he can't just shoot protests down! ENOUGH IS ENOUGH, WE ARE FED UP!"

This comes amid many protests across the Commonwealth and the country.

On Tuesday, thousands of peaceful protesters marched through Franklin Park to demand an end to police brutality.
