The Call To Defund Police. In the wake of the death of George Floyd, a mass movement to “Defund The Police” has arisen. At various protests across the country you will see signs and hear chants calling on police to be defunded as an answer to racial injustice. Retired Massachusetts State Police Detective Lt. Retweeting Madness. Over the weekend President Trump retweeted a video of a Florida Trump supporter who was yelling “White Power” while in a golf cart passing by an anti-Trump protest at The Villages in Florida. Why did the President retweet this? Was he not aware “White Power” was being yelled in the video? Did he even fully listen to it? Or was it intentional as Rev. Al Sharpton said on MSNBC’s Morning Joe? The President has since deleted the retweet.
To Mask Or Not To Mask. There has been a lot of mixed messages for people on whether to wear a mask or not. The CDC does say that they recommend people wear a cloth face covering in public where it’s difficult to social distance. Then you have President Trump who does not wear a mask and is suspicious some people are only wearing masks to “troll him”. Some states require you to wear a mask, whereas with others it’s more of a guideline or suggestion. What are the real facts when it comes to wearing a mask? Do you wear one or go without one?
