Dunkin' Customers Must Wear Face Coverings Starting Wednesday

BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — Dunkin' is joining the list of businesses that will require everyone to wear a mask or a face covering while inside the stores.

Starting Wednesday August 5th, all Dunkin' Donuts customers will have to wear face coverings upon entry, much like Dunkin' said its staff have been doing since early in the pandemic.

"At Dunkin’, we already require all restaurant employees to wear face masks & have updated our health & safety standards to reflect the times," said the company. "We believe that wearing a mask is a simple step we can all take to help slow the spread of COVID-19 and help to keep guests and restaurant crew safe."

The Canton-based company said it has also been sending its "sampling truck" to healthcare facilities and emergency sites across the Northeast during the pandemic, including Boston's Tufts Medical Center, Mass General Hospital, UMass Memorial, and Dana Farber Cancer Institute.
