SALEM, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) — The annual Salem Literary Festival begins in a few days with changes due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
In March, organizers of the Annual Salem Literary Festival, sponsored by the Salem Athenaeum, considered whether or not they would have to cancel.
Diane Stern, a former WBZ anchor and member of the festival committee, said they decided not to cancel; instead, they are doing it virtually.
"This year is entirely virtual, for obvious reasons," Stern said. The festival begins Thursday.
