Nightside with Dan Rea - Rundown for October 2, 2020

COVID Positive! Early this morning President Trump announced that he and the First Lady have tested positive for the Coronavirus. This comes after White House aid Hope Hicks tested positive after feeling ill while on Air Force One on Wednesday. The White House physician says the first couple are asymptomatic and that the President will continue with a full schedule. What do you think this means for the election?

Was it Inevitable? Several critics say the President's reluctance to wear a mask made his becoming infected with COVID inevitable. Did the President's failure to support a national mask mandate contribute to his and the First Lady's exposure to the virus?

Is a COVID Positive President a National Security Crisis? If the President becomes too ill to do his duty the Vice-President, the Speaker of the House, and the Secretary of State are in line in that order to pick up the mantel. Is a sick President Trump an opportunity for foreign intervention in our country? Is an ill President a national security risk?
