BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — The AP projects Stephen Lynch (D-MA) has been re-elected U.S. Representative MA 8th District. Lynch retains his seat after a challenge from independent candidate Jon Lott.
He is the chair of the House Oversight Subcommittee on National Security and has been a member of the U.S. House of Representatives since 2001.
In 2013, Lynch ran for the Democratic nomination to fill John Kerry’s U.S. Senate seat. He lost that race to Ed Markey.
