18-Year-Old Facing Charges After Duxbury Police Bust New Year's Eve Party

DUXBURY, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) — An 18-year-old Duxbury resident is facing charges after police were called to a large and illegal New Year's Eve Party.

According to a release from Duxbury Police, they were called to a disturbance on Federal Eagle Road at about 10:30 p.m. on Thursday.

When officers arrived, they discovered a house party with numerous teenagers from several south shore communities. The party was dispersed, and 17 individuals were identified but police believe several other individuals were able to leave ahead of time.

Police say at least one intoxicated teen was taken to the hospital. A resident of the home, 18-year-old Zackary Hamadeh, will be charged with furnishing alcohol to minors and further charges relating to Covid-19 violations are expected.

The Duxbury School and Health Departments have been notified and steps have been taken to notify other affected towns.
